Dubai Safety Inspection Officer Named NSC Rising Star of Safety
Hussain Adnan Humaid Ali Al Hashimi, Chief Safety Inspection Officer at Dubai Municipality in the United Arab Emirates, has been named to the NSC Rising Star of Safety Class of 2026 according to Safety+Health Magazine.
2025 Joint Fire Safety Campaign
Hussain initiated the 2025 Joint Fire Safety Campaign that connected six government entities to address compliance gaps in industrial warehouses. He led a task force that completed 4,920 inspections across 90 days. The effort produced a 67% reduction in fires in Ras Al Khor and a 60% reduction in fires in Al Quoz.
Consultative Compliance Model
Hussain introduced a consultative compliance model that substituted technical advocacy for rigid enforcement and illustrated how safety infrastructure reduces downtime. According to Safety+Health Magazine, this approach replaced prior enforcement practices with guidance focused on prevention.
Measured Outcomes
Citywide compliance rose to 94.7% from 88.5% after the model was implemented. Occupational incidents fell 12% year over year. The National Safety Council selected Hussain for the Rising Star of Safety Class of 2026 based on these results, according to Safety+Health Magazine.
