OSHA Schedules Virtual Training for Federal Agency Safety Staff

OSHA has scheduled a virtual training event for Aug. 4-6 according to Safety+Health Magazine. The training aims to help federal agency safety and health personnel strengthen protections for federal workers. The event is presented by the OSHA Training Institute Education Centers and the agency’s Office of Federal Agency Programs.

Training Format and Scope

The training is free and conducted virtually. It targets federal agency safety and health personnel. According to Safety+Health Magazine, the sessions will address multiple safety and compliance areas relevant to federal workplaces.

Topics Included in the Program

Sessions will cover the OSHA inspection process for federal agencies. Additional topics include workplace violence, control of hazardous energy, and combustible dust recognition and control. Fall protection, Construction Focus Four hazards, road construction and excavation overview, office ergonomics, heat stress, lead hazard awareness, and managing an effective respiratory protection program are also listed.

Registration Deadline

The deadline to register is July 24 according to Safety+Health Magazine. Federal agencies can access the training through the OSHA Training Institute Education Centers.
